About Us
Hi, my name is Mitchell Jamison. I've worked with horses for the past 20 years, primarily in the Western discipline. I started on a large farm in northern Minnesota working hundreds of cow-calf pairs. From there, I spent a little time working in the racetrack barns at Canterbury Park. I then went on to be a guide at the largest riding ranch in the state and worked that job through college. After college, I spent a few years trying to find my path to success. This involved taking some jobs I did not enjoy, starting a side business, and then turning that side business into my full-time job. that business was my custom woodworking business; The Burly Maple, LLC. I quickly outgrew the small garage I was working out of in Richfield so my wife and I decided to look for a property with a larger workspace. We found our home here on our ranch in Carver. We moved here in 2021 and almost immediately began our horse business. We now board, breed, and train dozens of horses.
